Mark your calendar for the fourth Eucharistic Congress of the Diocese of Charlotte. Once again Catholics from all over western North Carolina and the Southeast will gather in praise and worship at the Charlotte Convention Center. The event will take place October 3 & 4, 2008. Bishop Peter J. Jugis has selected "It Is Christ Whom We Proclaim" as the theme of the Congress.

More than 9,000 people attended the events of the third Eucharistic Congress in September 2007. The event was a blessing for all. It was made possible thanks to the spiritual guidance of Bishop Jugis and the efforts of more than 250 volunteers who gave generously of their time and talent.

EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS VOLUNTEERS:

We would like to be able to recruit a total of seven persons to help with greeting, selling souvenirs, procession workers, children’s registration, assistance in the children’s programs and someone to carry the St. Michael’s banner in the procession outside the Convention Center and another short procession when Mass begins at 4:30 p.m..
