Grand Knight Report
Our
Council has started a new fraternal year with a new (smaller) budget, and
schedule of activities, and an action plan for becoming a Star Council. The Program Directors have a lot planned for
this coming year and need your help in making this our best year ever. We may
not have seen you in a while and a lot of things have happened in that time. I
would ask you to make time to come to one of our future business meetings and
bring your family and join us at a monthly social.
It
is time again for our Council to conduct LAMB Operations which will be done on
September 25, 26 & 27 and November 6, 7, & 8. As you know this is our annual fundraiser to
support those agencies in our county who help others needier than us. As a Knight in our Council you share in our
commitment to the works of Charity conducted by the Knights of Council 6700
each year.
Each
year we spend way too many hours trying to get volunteers to man the Operation
LAMB stations and this year the Council asks each of you to give us some of
your time helping us raise this much needed money or if you can not give us
your time would you consider a monetary donation to help us meet our LAMB goal.

also have our annual Boston Butt and Golf Tournament coming in October and as
always we are looking for teams to play and sponsors. This is a really good time and the food is
absolutely the best.
October
also brings another race weekend and an opportunity to raise money for our
council. You saw how well Charlie and
the gang did in May (if you didn’t - it was a stellar performance by all) and
we can do as good in October but we need more bus drivers. Join us, give us one day of your time towards
this much needed fund raiser.

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purse or pocket?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we could not live without it?
What if we gave it to our kids for gifts?
What if we used it when we travelled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you think of where your Bible is...Oh, and one more
thing...
Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being
disconnected because
JESUS ALREADY
PAID THE BILL.
SECOND DEGREE TEAM
WE STILL ARE LOOKING FOR MEN
It became all too clear this past month when we had to cancel
a Second Degree that we need additional Team Members. If we are to hold Degrees
we need men who are willing to step up and join the team.
We
need two full teams in order to cover when members of our team are either sick,
on vacation or otherwise unable participate in the degree.
If
any 3rd Degree Knight would like to join the
2nd degree team or learn what being on the
team is all about please contact John O’Daly, DD
If we
do not get a (second degree) back-up team in place
we will again be forced to seek assistance from another District
by using some of its’ team members, or cancel the degree.
It is
time to step up to the plate and help.
