St. Michael Catholic Church Soccer Registration Information

Registration Details

Soccer registration for St. Michael Catholic Church will be held until Sunday, August 22nd. Registration forms will be available in the gathering area of the church following the 5:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. masses and can be turned into the church office.

The age groups are as follows and we will need 2 adult volunteer coaches per team.

U6 (6 years old and younger by Sept. 1) U8 (8 years old and younger by Sept. 1) U10 (10 years old and younger by Sept. 1) U12 (12 years old and younger by Sept. 1)

You can also register by visiting the St. Michael Church website, completing and printing the Recreational Sports Registration form (http://www.stmichaelsgastonia.org/files/SportsRegForm.pdf) and dropping it off at the Church office or mailing it, along with the appropriate fee to;

Parish guidelines require each team to have 2 volunteer coaches that have completed “Protecting God’s Children” class. Limited coaching volunteers means registration will also be limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. That means anyone who registers beyond the number of kids we can accommodate for each team will be placed on a waiting list. If/when additional volunteer coaches step forward, these kids will be assigned to a team.

Your child’s registration status is NOT considered complete until BOTH the signed registration form AND the registration fee has been received.

All registration fees are refundable if we do not have enough coaches to field a team or if you or your child decides that they do not want to participate.

Cost for Soccer Ages 5-8 Ages 9-14 $35.00 for church members $35.00 for church members $45.00 for non-members $45.00 for non-members

Practices for most teams will begin in late August.

There is a church member family maximum of $75.00. So, if you are a member of St. Michael Church with 2 or more kids playing, the maximum registration fee will be $75.00 (not including any late registration fee, if applicable).

The above fees do NOT include the uniform. The approximate cost of a full uniform for new players is approx. $16 - $40 depending on the age. We will NOT be using the same uniform as last year. So, all players will be required to buy a new jersey this season. More information on uniforms as it becomes available.
