Dear Parishioners,
“ Christ is risen!
Truly, He is risen!”Happy Easter!!! Today we begin our 50 day feast of Easter! How glorious it is for us to revel in the atoning sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. These 50 days are days of rejoicing at the fact of our Redemption. What was lost by Adam is regained by Christ, the new and perfect Adam. Christ the Lord is risen. He has triumphed over sin and Satan. I pray that your Lent was filled with many blessings leading to these days of celebration. Thanks to all who helped with our Friday Soup and Stations of the Cross and all the Lenten devotions and activities.
Thanks to those who have helped during this Triduum period. The flower donations, the decorators, the cleaners, the choir, the altar boys, the ministers of the Sacred Liturgy—to all of you—Thank you for making this such a profound Paschal celebration.
Please pray for the following:Those baptized and Confirmed at the Easter Vigil:
Chris DobbinsThose received into full Communion with the Church and Confirmed at the Easter Vigil:
Angela LeRoy
Michael Quinn
Jeff TempletonFor eight days we celebrate the “Octave” of Easter; it is Easter each day. And the Easter Season is 50 days until Pentecost. Let us celebrate well.
DIVINE MERCY FEAST CELEBRATION AND PARISH POT LUCK SUPPER NEXT SUNDAY, MARCH 30 AT 3:00 PM: You are invited to celebrate the Feast of Mercy. We will have the Youth Group process into the Church next Sunday afternoon at 3 PM (the Hour of Divine Mercy) and enthrone the image of Jesus of the Divine Mercy. “Jesus, I trust in You” is what our Lord wanted painted at the bottom of the image. Then we will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Afterwards we will go to the Parish Social Hall for a Parish Family Pot Luck Supper. Sign up today for our Dinner. The sign up sheet is on the podium by the Children’s Chapel. Make this a parish family event.
May God bless all of you. Please remember our military and government officials in Iraq and throughout the world in your good prayers for Peace. God bless and may our Lady keep you in her care.
With prayers,
Fr. Arnsparger
