Dear Parishioners,

Our Holy Father, His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, will visit us this week. It is providential that he, our Supreme Pastor, will visit us following “Good Shepherd” Sunday. The readings today center around St. Peter, the first Pope, and our Lord, the Good Shepherd.

We have placed a link on our home page of the Parish web site to the Holy Father’s Visit. There you will find the program of his visit as well as many catechetical resources and information about the Papacy and this visit. There you will also find a power point presentation on the Papacy.

You can also find the information about EWTN’s (Eternal Word Television Network) schedule of the coverage during the Papal visit at this web site: http://www.ewtn.com/USPapalVisit08/coverage/index.asp If you do not get EWTN on your cable or satellite dish, you can watch it on your computer through this web site. Of course, the other networks will also carry some of the events of the visit, particularly I assume the visit to the United Nations. I am including in this bulletin the televised message our Holy Father sent to all Catholics in the US on April 8.

Please pray for Our Holy Father as he comes to strengthen us in our Catholic Faith. May God bless you and our Lady keep you in her tender care.

                                                                              With my prayers,
                                                                              Fr. Arnsparger
