PTO Updates:
Once again, our 2011
Fun Fair was a huge success, generating a total of $22,400 for our school!!! Thanks to all of the parents and volunteers
and a special thanks to Veronica Montes, Jenni Rhodes & Caryn Kerkman for
being such wonderful chairpersons this year!
Our 2011-2012 Great
American Fund Raiser has been and continues to be another big fund raiser for
our school. As of December 9, 2011 we
have already received $5,273.86! A Special
Thanks to Mrs. Anastasia Carson & Mrs. Bridgit O’Daly.
SMCS had a great time
in the 2011 Gastonia Christmas Parade – Thanks to Mr. Lowe for getting the
truck, decorations and snacks.
Your PTO Dollars are
already at work:
Mrs. Eason was able to
purchase a new card catalog back up, software system for the Media Center.
New recess equipment
was purchased for each of the classrooms.
Some of the items purchased were: soccer balls, footballs, volley balls,
and basketballs, for the middle school, kick balls, jump ropes, and hula hoops
for the elementary classes, and sidewalk chalk and bubbles for the Pre-K and
Kindergarten classes.
Each teacher received
start-up funding for new classroom materials from the PTO in September and will
again in January.
New Scholastic Book
materials were purchased for the classrooms.

Superstars will kick off.
Catholic Schools Week:
January 29th – February 3rd.
Applebee’s Pancake
Breakfast: Saturday, February 4th (8-10am).
